Liverpool Preview vs Bournemouth: Reds head to South Coast to challenge impressive Cherries

Liverpool will play a second away game in just four days when they face a Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth team this Saturday.

The Reds are in high spirits after their 3-1 victory over Burnley on Wednesday. Jurgen Klopp’s men didn’t have it all their own way though, having to come from behind to seal the points.

Joe Gomez looks likely to be missing until the New Year after suffering a broken ankle in the victory over the Clarets. Dejan Lovren (illness), Sadio Mane (foot) and Andy Robertson (dead leg) are all doubts.

As for Bournemouth, they ended a run of four defeats by beating Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

Lewis Cook was stretchered off in that victory with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury. The 21-year-old looks set to miss between 6-9 months. Dan Gosling and Adam Smith are also both out with knee injuries.

Prediction

It was vital that Bournemouth got back to winning ways against Huddersfield on Tuesday, especially after that run of four defeats on the bounce.

If the Cherries are feeling it on the day, they can cause problems for anyone in the division which we saw in their recent defeat against Manchester City.

I expect Joe Gomez to be a huge miss for the Merseysiders and they face a massive task replacing the void left by him, especially with how shaky we all know Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip can be.

If Naby Keita starts and replicates his performance from Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp’s side should have huge success at the top end of the pitch.

Bournemouth 1-2 Liverpool
